Hello! My name is Kajun and:
Welcome to the Story of my Life!
(please scroll to read the whole story. I could have asked you to click page to page, but that's annoying!)
On the left is my Mom, a thoroughbred mare who was accepted into the Dutch Warmblood Studbook. This picture was taken right after her keuring where she was branded. It is an honor to be accepted by the Dutch, who are great breeders and who accept only the best when they look at American horses! On the right is my dad, Patrick, who was one of the first Approved Dutch breeding stallions in the States. He is a Gelderlander, a basic Dutch type and he was a great jumper.
Mom getting branded at her keuring. She was pregnant with my big brother at the time!
II was born at 2 am on June 11, 1992. I was a BIG foal! On the 2nd day, Mom and I were allowed to go outside and I ran and ran:
I discovered how to scratch my belly on a bush.
And I followed my big brother like a shadow.
When I was 4 months old, Mom and I went to MY keuring, where the Dutch came over from Holland and judged awarded me with a first premium and I was 2nd in my class for confimation and1st for movement!
When I was older, and under saddle, I went to my first horse show and got 2 blue ribbons for my walk/trot classes. At my next horse show, I had to canter but, instead, I bucked all the way through my classes! When I showed Training Level at BOH in 1999, I behaved better and took the Open Championship in 3 out of 4 shows!
The next year, I started 1st Level but my owner decided to go back to school and I didn't do any showing. Instead, I got fat and laxy so now I am at Windmill Equestrian Center, trying to get myself and my owner back in shape and ready for the 2002 show season.

One of the good things about the time off was that my owner bought Gotsno, a German Warmblood. He's not as big as me, but he is beautiful and he can buck too! Gotsno is in Canada right now and if he is not sold, he will be at Windmill in March and we will be scratching each other's back again!

In the meantime, I'll be attending a few clinics with friends...
and I will update this site when I don't have anything to eat. Please check back and email me when you have news about your shows or your owner!

Thanks for visiting my web site, Kajun.

and hay, if you have the time, visit my owner's web site at www.allgrafix.com (she pays the feed bill!)
